for TFK Cookware
Medium to Low is all you need to know! Although our cookware is safe for high cooking temperatures, we recommended that you use lower temperatures and take a bit more time to heat your pans. This will prevent overheating, which can stain your cookware.
To remove stains:
Mineral deposits in food and water can also leave stains on your cookware. Wet the pan, make a paste using a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner, such as Bar Keeper’s Friend®, and a very small amount of water.
Rub the paste in a circular motion using a moist paper towel or non-abrasive sponge.
After scouring, wash utensil in hot soapy water, rinse and dry.
Remove stains before dish washing, as this will not remove the stains and may make them harder to remove once you do try.
Don’t forget the bottom! Clean the same way as above.
Those Scratches are Minor
After the first few uses of your cookware, you might see small bright scratches. Don’t worry; these scratches won’t affect the performance of your cookware. Use a stainless steel cleaner and follow the above instructions for cleaning. Then follow these tips to avoid this in the future. Don’t use knives or other sharp-edged tools on the stainless steel surface. Avoid using an electric mixer inside of cookware. When stacking, use caution to avoid marring of the stainless steel finish.
Thermo Knobs and Handle
Over time, knobs may loosen. (View Video in Use and Care Videos) Simple fix; remove Thermo Knob by turning clockwise ¼ turn. Using a screwdriver, turn the brass knob base to the right to tighten. Replace Thermo Knob and turn counterclockwise ¼ turn to secure knob. Over time, handles and knobs may discolor. This is an inevitable part of their life cycle and they will continue to work just as well as ever. If blisters form on the handle near the connection, you are using too much heat. NEVER use a flame that overlaps the base of the cookware. For additional questions or concerns or for replacement parts, please feel free to contact us.
